What are the different levels of electrician licensing?

When a home owner feels the need to inspect his electrical system, unless already trained in electrical repair, it’s a good idea to find an electrician who is an expert. When an electrician is licensed, it means he has passed the following levels of education and training.

There are 4 different stages to get an electrician license.

• Apprentice Electrician
  The one who is new to the job is considered to be an Apprentice. He needs to complete 2 years of training under supervision. After passing an electrical examination, he will become a Wireman Electrician.
• Wireman Electrician
  A Wireman Electrician is allowed to work in any inhabited home unsupervised. But the electrician is not licensed to work in a commercial location without  Journeyman Electrician supervision.
• Journeyman Electrician
