Services Offered by Caddell Eletric

Caddell Electric was first opened in 1999, and is a proud employer of highly qualified and trained electricians in Dallas. We have remained an A+ company for almost 20 years due to the professionalism and dedication of our employees.

We offer the following services to our customers across the DFW metro.

·         Electrical Panels
·         Surge Suppression
·         Commercial Lighting

Electrical Panels

Being the most significant part of your electrical system, it needs regularly scheduled care regularly to avoid fires and electrical issues.

If you happen to have installed a Federal Pacific or Zinsco electrical panel, replace immediately with new panels. Those brands have lost their UL listings, and can be a major fire threat.  Caddell Electric can help you in the replacement  process at affordable prices.

Surge Suppression
When you want all the electronic devices in your office to be safe from power surges and spikes, you need to install a surge suppressor that can guard your entire electrical system. This equipment is directly hooked up to your electrical panel to do the job properly. Any lines having signals into your building can bring a power surge, so it’s smart to protect your electrical devices.

Commercial Lighting

Make your office brighter and a more pleasant to work by letting Caddell Electric, the lighting experts, plan the right lighting to please your employees, your customers and your budget.

How to Become a Licensed Electrician in Dallas

If you’re thinking of making a good living by becoming a successful electrician in Dallas, get your license for it. It’s not a quick and easy process because it is a real trade that needs to be properly learned to be qualified, safe and professional. Nothing worthwhile is easy but it can be done if you pass the following levels of the licensing process.
Levels to be an electrician are
1.       Apprentice electrician
When just starting your carreer, you are called an Apprentice Electrician. You need to be trained under a supervisor for 2 years and then you will be upgraded as Wireman Electrician after passing the exams.

1.       Wireman Electrician
After the completion of the first level, you are allowed to work in residential buildings without a supervisor. Here you can start working for residential customers looking for a residential Dallas electrician.

1.       Journeyman Electrician
You can start getting paid to work in commercial buildings when you are upgraded to this level. An electrician who has completed 8000 working hours under a Master Electrician can be licensed as a Journeyman Electrician.

1.       Master Electrician
A Master Electrician is the one qualified to supervise all electricians and electrical work carried out by a company.
You can also contact Caddell Electric to learn more about the levels of licensing and how Cadeell can offer assistance to those aspiring to work while getting or upgrading their license.

4 Levels of Electrician Licensing

When a home owner feels the need to inspect his electrical system, unless already trained in electrical repair, it’s a good idea to find an electrician who is an expert. Since a faulty electrical system could be a threat to the safety of everybody in the home, it’s important for an electrician to have the proper education and training for the job. When an electrician is licensed, it means he has passed the following levels of education and training.
There are 4 different stages to get an electrician license.
Apprentice Electrician
The one who is new to the job is considered to be an Apprentice. He needs to complete 2 years of training under supervision. After passing an electrical examination, he will become a Wireman Electrician.
Wireman Electrician
A Wireman Electrician is allowed to work in any inhabited home unsupervised. But the electrician is not licensed to work in a commercial location without Journeyman Electrician supervision.
Journeyman Electrician
At Caddell, the electricians we send to your home to work on your electrical system will have at least this level of license. To become a Journeyman Electrician, the candidate must finish 8000 hours of work below a Master Electrician and pass a written exam.
Master Electrician
A Master Electrician is a Master. All electrical contract companies should have a Master Electrician on staff to supervise and give training. WE DO!
